The Name Behind the Event:
Not too long ago, Central Florida, and more importantly, Lake County, had a very large citrus industry. Behind tourism, yes, even before the theme parks Central Florida catered to tourists, citrus was king. Most of Lake County was covered groves until the devastating freezes in the mid 1980's. Every piece of citrus begins as a blossom, with oranges being among the most fragrant and currently filling the air. Take a deep breath and enjoy the scent.
